I am faith-founded and believe in ethical and professional conduct in relationship building toward peace and economic development. I focus my work on the UN SDGs and doing good wherever I can.
Mary Kurek is the Founder and President of Frontrunners Development Inc. (FDI)
The firm, (FDI) which supports all United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, focuses work on Goal #17 (Partnerships for all Goals.) FDI conducts business development in impact spaces by developing relationships through a curated community of global innovators and diplomats. The work involves faciliation of solutions primarily, but not limited to healthcare, economic development, and education. The firm also publishes the first global business networking media platform aimed at social impact. Kurek has conducted 500+ international interviews, developing relationships to
date in 76 countries, with the platform receiving views from 160 countries annually.
FDI enjoys partnerships with worldwide organizations, like the Sub-Saharan Open University (Nigeria), Living Learning & Working, Inc. (US/Canada), World Youth Summit (Cyprus), The Next Generation Leaders (Saudi Arabia), Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development, (Nigeria), Books for Peace (Italy), Global Sustainable Futures Progress Through Partnerships Network (UK), and Yorghas Foundation (Poland).
Kurek’s background includes the State of NC Governor’s Media Staff, Executive Director, Havelock Chamber of Commerce, and Assistant/Interim Director, Carteret County Aging Services. Kurek is a Long Leaf Pine Award Recipient for Outstanding Service to the Citizens of North Carolina and has co-founded two local nonprofits (Carteret Sports Leadership, Inc. and Carteret County Friends of Aging). She sits on the boards of several international organizations including UNAccc, a leading think tank and research organization headquartered in India. She was appointed in 2021 as a Trade and Investment Counselor for the Prince of Madagascar. Kurek was appointed by the NC Governor in July of 2022 to his Advisory Council on Aging and was appointed as Ambassador for the Women’s Economic Forum – Silicon Valley in August of 2022.
